恩 (En) | Grace
“EN (恩),” meaning “grace,” represents unmerited favor in God's eyes. Though we fall short time and again, God gives His grace freely when we trust Him in faith.
The solid, top-heavy brushstrokes convey the gravity of God’s tremendous pleasure raining down on us. The question Tam poses is, “Is your heart (心) ready to receive it?” Second Corinthians 12:9 reminds us that God’s grace is sufficient in every situation, reminding us—as reflected by the exaggerated manner in which “心” (heart) is written—to expand our hearts in expectation of God’s favor. Overwhelmed by the grace poured onto her life when she experienced cross-continental moves in her third trimester, she named her firstborn “恩.”
“And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
